When viewing PDF files in Acrobat, thin lines may not be displayed with uniform thickness. When this problem occurs, the line thickness ratio will change even when zooming in or out. For example, if the second row is displayed with thick lines, when you zoom in, the third row will be displayed with thick lines instead of the second row.
This issue may occur when generating the PDF with applications other than the native Acrobat application. OFC generates HTML based on the structure of Word, and then creates the PDF using Salesforce's Visualforce PDF generation function.
The following are some possible improvements.
- Go to Acrobat Menu > Preferences > Page Display, then uncheck "Enhance Thin Lines" in the "Rendering" section. The thickness of the lines may be displayed more uniformly.
- Set the thickness of borders in the Word template to 1.5pt or more. The thickness of the lines may be displayed more uniformly.
- Display PDF files in a browser (Chrome or Edge). In a browser, the lines will be displayed with a uniform thickness.
